Restoring Eastern Nebraska’s Saline Wetlands

Lincoln, Nebraska is home to the majority of saline wetlands in the state. These wetlands are important habitats for many threatened and endangered plant and animal species.
Join Conservation Nebraska in learning about the importance of preserving and restoring these wetland habitats.
Guest Speaker Dan Schulz from the Lower Platte South Natural Resource District (LPSNRD) will explore the importance of wetlands and the different restoration practices in place.

Dan Schulz started working with the LPSNRD in 1986 focusing on lake and wetland restoration. In this position, he has worked with landowners, development companies, and the state to restore and preserve the saline wetlands found around Lincoln, Nebraska.
