Power of the Public: Reaching Out to OPPD
Did you know that Omaha Public Power District's Board of Directors are currently in the process of updating their environmental policies?
The last time this happened, in 2019, Omahans were able to use public comment to get the OPPD board to adopt a goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
Now we have the chance to take it a step further and ask the OPPD Board to add interim metrics to their net-zero goal, adding clear benchmarks and measures for accountability to the current policies.
